Description
SULPHUR STAR
2Y/W-Y(a/b)
[Incomparabilis]
(British origin? circa 1860s?)
Likely to be a 19th-century “star narcissus”. Reminiscent of ‘Stella’, although the perianth segments are of slightly better form, and remain pale sulphur-yellow at maturity, and the fluted corona is a tad longer and paler, with a less closely ruffled rim.
