‘Sarah Tomlinson’
4Y-O
[Double]
(‘Helios’ sport found by Len Tomlinson pre-2013)
A double sport of the Revd Engleheart’s ‘Helios’ ( or “Li’le Elio” in Scilly), discovered by a daffodil grower who has been enormously generous to us, sharing his knowledge, expertise and stocks. This shapely flower is named after his daughter. The perianth petaloids are mimosa-yellow, the two outer whorls composed of well-formed, very broadly ovate to rounded petaloids, resembling regular perianth segments; the tongues of inner petaloids much narrower, and of more variable form, wavy edged and folded, interleaving the central boss of ruffled marigold-orange coronal petaloids. Of average height and flowering mid-season. £2 for each bulb sold will be donated to a charity of Len’s choice.
