The poise and strongly recurved margins of the pale, soft yellow perianth segments, the hexangular base of the ridged trumpet, and the short, rich yellow perianth tube all suggest affinities with N. bicolor var. lorifolius, a probable parent of ‘Emperor’. Might be the cultivar ‘J.W.H. Barr’.
