Description
‘Capella’
2W-WYY
[Leedsii 4a]
(Pearson, J.R., & Sons, pre-1909; ‘Minnie Hume’ × ‘Madame de Graaff’)
A sturdy Giant Leedsii of soft colouring and nodding habit on rather short stems. The spreading milk-white perianth segments appear to hover over the long, stout corona, lightly incurving, with strongly reflexed margins. At maturity the lightly flanged, primrose-yellow corona assumes a softer hue, and gradually flares to a gently bleached, obscurely lobed rim with wide crenations.
