Description
‘Victoria’
1W-Y
[Bicolor Trumpet, 1b]
(M. Vos or J. H. van Veen, pre-1897)
A chubby flower with a vanilla scent. Its sturdy, slightly chiselled trumpet flares gently to a rim of six lobes which are sometimes notched deeply apart, or even separated to the base. The much-stained base of the dumpy, creamy perianth sets the intense yellow trumpet in a saucer of gold. The outer face of the segments is shaded greenish yellow along the midrib to the apex.
