Description
‘Saint Martin’
2Y-YYO
[Incomparabilis]
(Williams, P.D., pre-1927)
A relatively tidy, well-balanced, slightly nodding flower, richly coloured on opening. The perianth segments become a little reflexed, with recurving margins, fading from mimosa to soft primrose; a midrib bar of darker yellow remains. The corona is straight and neatly pleated at first, the interior Indian orange, the outer face softer; the rounded flanges are touched mimosa, particularly at the margin. As the flower matures, the cup flares a little and becomes suffused amber-yellow; the neatly ruffled rim is stained persimmon. Mid-season.
