An exhibition flower of the 1930s, this grandchild of ‘Beacon’ and ‘Fortune’ has a wide, shallow, prominently-pleated bowl of glowing reddish orange, becoming more chalky at maturity, and a conspicuous, warm yellow eye which darkens to dull green. The bright yellow staining at the base of the perianth is tinged with green.
