Description
‘California’
2Y-Y(a)
[Incomparabilis]
(Williams, P.D., pre-1927)
Bright yellow, vigorous and early. Sometimes considered synonymous with ‘Pentewan’; sometimes regarded as siblings. ‘California’ usually earlier; corona sometimes with more orange flushing and rim more loosely frilled. An utterly dependable daffodil with the staying power of the ubiquitous ‘Carlton’ but of more pleasing form.
