‘Mystic’
3W-GWO
[Leedsii 4b]
(G.L. Wilson, pre-1923; ‘Miss Weisse’ × Poet)
As Country Life (1931) observes, ‘Mystic’ is “one of Mr. Guy Wilson’s best productions … an exquisite flower”. Bowles (A Handbook of Narcissus (1934)) and we heartily agree: ‘Mystic’ possesses a rare, refreshing and cool beauty, with a very broad, much-overlapping, rounded perianth, and a neatly pleated saucer, rich moss-green at the eye, shading through greenish cream above to milky cream-white below a band of soft Chinese coral at the lightly ruffled rim. Late flowering.
