Description
‘Victoria’
1W-Y(c)
(J.H. van Veen/M. Vos(?), pre-1897)
A chubby flower with a vanilla scent. Its sturdy, slightly-chiselled trumpet flares slightly to a rim of six lobes which are sometimes notched deeply apart, or even separated to the base. The much-stained base of the dumpy, creamy perianth sets the intense yellow trumpet in a saucer of gold. The outer face of the segments is shaded greenish yellow along the midrib to the apex.
